Fiscal responsibility

Spending the taxpayer’s dollars wisely is important to me.  While Ada County deserves a coroner’s office that operates at the highest level, that must be accomplished through strategic operational spending.

Protecting the public

A largely overlooked aspect of the Ada County Coroner’s Office is our dedication to protecting the public. Working with other agencies, we can identify ongoing risk to our citizens such as deadly illicit drugs, communicable disease, and other hazards. This cooperative work ultimately saves people’s lives.

Continue to provide the highest level of forensic services

Through continuing education, the coroner’s office will stay current with the ever-changing field of forensic science. This will keep our office operating at the highest forensic standards.

Managing the growth of the office with that of Ada County

With Idaho being one of the fastest growing States in the nation, our county is rapidly growing. I will acutely monitor the growth of Ada County and estimate the future staffing needed to adequately service the community.

Provide the employees with a positive workplace environment

We work in a demanding field which can emotionally exhaust the people who work in it.  In an effort to combat these stresses, I emphasize a positive environment where a person feels supported and valued. Through this positive feedback and empowerment, every effort is made to avoid employee “burnout” and encourage career long employment.

Maintaining the National Accreditations of the office

The Ada County Coroner’s Office is one of only six dually accredited offices in the United States. National accreditation is not only a source of pride but makes the office eligible for grants and other funding.  Accreditation also lets the public and other agencies know that things are being done right.
